Urologist
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $650000.00 - $650000.00

A well respected health system in Maryland is recruiting a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist to join the only urology practice serving the Hagerstown community. With upcoming retirements and high patient demand, this role offers immediate volume, strong support, and the opportunity to shape the future of urologic care in the region.

The practice currently includes two full-time physicians and two CRNPs, with plans to expand to four physicians. Outpatient services are located on the hospital campus, with surgeries performed in both the hospital ORs and the Ambulatory Surgery Center.

What You Can ExpectOutpatient Clinic

• Clinic located in the Robinwood Professional Center, directly connected to the hospital.
• High community demand with new patient wait times of 1.5-2 months.
• Full patient panel expected within 90-180 days.
• 3.0-3.5 clinic days per week once fully ramped.
• Average 25-30 patients per day.
• General adult urology with some basic pediatric procedures (e.g., circumcisions).
• Patient mix: 80% male / 20% female.
• Payer mix: 30-35% Medicaid.
• EMR: EPIC (clinic + hospital).

Inpatient & Surgical Responsibilities

• Daily rounding on 5-6 patients with ~3 new consults on call days.
• Surgeries performed at in the hospital or ASC, both on the same campus as the clinic
• Facilities include:
  • 3 ORs in the ASC
  • 16 hospital ORs for complex cases
  • Two DaVinci Xi robots
  • Onsite pathology
  • Ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy available twice weekly

Call Schedule

• 1:3 rotation, improving as additional urologists are hired.
• Call alternates between weeknights and weekends.
• Providers cover inpatient consults and ED cases while maintaining limited clinic hours.
• Strong ED and hospitalist support - rare call-ins.

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified / Board Eligible (new grads welcome)
• 2026 start preferred; 2027 candidates considered
• Late-career physicians welcome
• H1B and J1 visas considered
