Job DescriptionJob DescriptionUrologist PositionWe are excited to announce an immediate opening for a Urologist within our Department of Surgery. This role is based at a community hospital that features a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center, located in the vibrant metropolitan area of Phoenix, Arizona. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including endoscopic tools, a urodynamic lab, and the da Vinci surgical robotic system.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a faculty member for our graduate medical education programs.
- Contribute to the development of the clinical service line.
- Provide both inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergency settings.
- Participate in shared call coverage and adopt a collaborative approach to patient management.
- Engage in research initiatives and play a pivotal role in expanding our robotics program for urology patients.
- Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
- Board certified and/or board eligible status.
- Eligibility for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license; J1 Visa applicants are welcome to apply.
- Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training or significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery.
Our organization operates as a not-for-profit faculty practice plan, comprised of over 400 providers across various medical and surgical specialties. Our physicians hold faculty appointments and actively engage in inter-professional teaching through the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, which includes a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency. Notably, we host the only ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care residency in Phoenix and are among 13 hospitals nationwide recognized by the American College of Surgeons for Adult & Pediatric Trauma and Burns.
