Our organization is currently seeking a Urologist to join the Department of Surgery. This department supports a community hospital that is recognized as a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center by both state authorities and the American College of Surgeons, located in the vibrant metropolitan area of Phoenix. The facility is equipped with advanced technology, including endoscopic tools, a urodynamic lab, and a da Vinci surgical robotic system.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a faculty member for graduate medical education programs sponsored by the department.
- Contribute to the development of the clinical service line.
- Provide both inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergency care settings.
- Participate in shared call coverage and collaborate effectively in patient management.
- Engage in collaborative research initiatives.
- Play a pivotal role in expanding and enhancing our robotics program for urology patients.
- Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
- Board certified and/or board eligible status.
- Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Arizona; J1 Visa applicants will be considered.
- Preference for candidates with fellowship training or significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery.
We are a not-for-profit faculty practice plan operated by physicians, comprising over 400 providers across various medical and surgical specialties. Our physicians hold faculty positions and engage in inter-professional education through the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, which features a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency. Notably, our program is home to the only ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care residency in Phoenix. We are among 13 hospitals nationwide accredited by the American College of Surgeons for both Adult and Pediatric Trauma and Burns.
