Job Summary:
A Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Technician) position is available in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within a surgical unit that performs orthopedic, spine, neurosurgical, robotic, urology, and cardiovascular surgeries, including complex procedures such as craniotomies and spine fusions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Chattanooga, TN
- Shift: 8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, every other weekend, duration of 13 weeks
- Required Qualifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) national certification, Tennessee nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, no minimum years of experience specified, must have previous circulating experience in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures. Neurosurgical and Gen/Robotic experience preferred but not required.
- Additional Information: The role involves working with advanced equipment such as the Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope for neurosurgical proceduresthe only system of its kind in Tennessee. The facility emphasizes technical proficiency, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
