Position Overview
Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly experienced Surgical Technician to join our dynamic Operating Room team. This role requires a skilled professional who can work independently across a wide range of surgical specialties, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic procedures.
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Shift: 5x8s (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
- Weekend Call: One 24-hour shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) every 4 weeks
- Weekday Call: One overnight shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) every other week
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Must be able to work independently and handle a fast-paced OR environment
Required Surgical Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Orthopedics (including total joints with Mako) – strong proficiency required
- General Surgery (open & robotic) – 2 Da Vinci robot rooms onsite
- Urology
- GYN
- Breast / Plastics
- Vascular (including cases supported in IR)
- Colorectal
- Podiatry
