โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS โ READ BEFORE APPLYING
- Minimum 2 years SPD experience REQUIRED
- Travel experience REQUIRED (minimum 2 years)
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
- HSPA / IAHCSMM
- CBSPD
- Experienced travelers only
- No 48-hour schedules approved
- No block scheduling

๐ฉบ Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center. This role requires strong experience in decontamination, high-level disinfection, instrument assembly, sterilization monitoring, and specialty tray processing across a wide range of surgical services.
๐ง Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and trays
- Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
- Operate washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, AERs, Sterrad, and Steris equipment
- Maintain accurate instrument tracking using SPM (Sterile Processing Microsystem)
- Follow aseptic technique and sterilization monitoring procedures
- Support OR workflow and maintain compliance with infection control standards

Must have experience with:
- Bronchoscopes
- Colonoscopes
- ERCP scopes
- EBUS / EUS scopes
- Cystoscopes
- Uteroscopes
- Endoscopic ultrasound scopes
โ๏ธ Required Equipment Experience
- Steris equipment
- Sterrad systems
- Washers & sterilizers
- Ultrasonic cleaners
- Instrument tracking systems (SPM)
- Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER)
๐ฏ Required Skills
- Tray assembly and organization
- Proper wrapping and labeling procedures
- Biological and chemical indicators
- Steam sterilization testing and monitoring
- Loaner tray processing
- Equipment documentation
- Scope/probe reprocessing
๐ Scheduling & Compliance
- Orientation: 40 hours (non-billable)
- Two pre-approved RTO periods allowed
- All RTO must be submitted upfront
- Floating to nearby sister facilities may be required
๐ Submission Requirements
- Last 4 of SSN required
- Must include:
- All RTO requests upfront
- Providence facility history (if applicable)
- 2 references required covering last 3 years
