Key Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and post-anesthesia care across Preop, PACU Phase 1, and PACU Phase 2, with the expectation of rotating between all phases as needed
- Support Surgical and Endoscopy Preop and Recovery areas on a daily basis
- Prepare patients for surgery, manage post-anesthesia recovery, oversee airway management, and provide pain management
- Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips, identifying rhythm changes and life-threatening arrhythmias
- Assist with unit restocking and patient turnover between cases
- Participate in call rotation including weeknights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time requirement
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Preop and PACU experience (both required)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to rotate between Preop, PACU Phase 1, and PACU Phase 2
- Willingness to support Endoscopy recovery care (endoscopy procedure experience not required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with a variety of surgical case types including General, Breast, Ortho, Urology, and OBGYN
- Comfort working in a small, flexible unit environment with cross-functional responsibilities
