Pay Breakdown:
- Weekly Gross: $3,000
- W2: $43.85/hr.
- Stipend: $1,246 Weekly
Requirements
- Iowa or Compact State RN license - Required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience.
- Must be able to Circulate and Scrub.
- Experience in General, GYN, Ortho, Urology, ECTs, pain blocks, & ENT with small amounts of vascular, neuro, & head and neck.
- BLS certifications required.
Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week assignment with a leading healthcare facility. The OR RN is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care by preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is skilled in sterile technique, surgical procedures, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Duties
- Assess patients preoperatively and verify medical history, allergies, and informed consent.
- Prepare the operating room with the appropriate instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.
- Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and workflow efficiency.
- Assist with patient positioning, surgical site preparation, and implementation of safety protocols.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
- Monitor patient status throughout the procedure and communicate changes to the surgical team.
