Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Tech for a position based in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves working in an operating room setting performing various surgical procedures, with a focus on vascular experience. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work. The position is scheduled for dayshift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Job Details:
- Position: Certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Tech
- Location: Lewiston, ME
- Address: 300 Main Street, Lewiston, ME 04240
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 10-hour shift, with weekend and weeknight call rotation.
- Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as Scrub Tech (NCCT), BLS certification, NBSTSA certification, vascular experience, and at least 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic health record system, trauma experience, robotic surgical procedures (e.g., DaVinci XI and Mako robots), and familiarity with advanced vascular and gynecological surgeries.
- Additional Information: The role involves working in a Level 2-3 trauma community hospital operating room performing cardiac, ortho, gynecology, general, ENT, urology, plastics, robotics, and laparoscopic procedures. Floating may be required as needed.
