Job Summary:
A Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position is available in Bangor, Maine. This role involves working under the direct supervision of a surgeon to facilitate invasive surgical procedures in a hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their certification and license on the first day. The position offers a rotating shift schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/20/2026.
Job Details:

- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours
- Required Qualifications: Trade or Technical School (Certificate or Diploma) certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, at least one year of experience preferred. Candidates must hold current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in OBGYN, C-sections, orthopedics, and urology with coverage of all areas except hearts, neuro, and spine. Experience in trauma level environments is a plus.
- Additional Information: If traveler resides within 50 miles of the facility, a $10/hr decrease will apply. Up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation is available. The facility can cancel up to 3 shifts within a 13-week contract.
- Position is open to local travelers who meet the experience requirements.
