Job Summary:
The operating room nurse position is located in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role involves supporting a busy OR team with a focus on orthopedic, robotic, general surgery, urology, and neuro procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, adhering to unit policies and ensuring safety standards are maintained.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in good standing; experience with orthopedics, total joints, general surgery, robotics, basic endovascular skills, urology experience, neuro experience preferred; ACLS certification; at least 1 year of clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience, availability for call coverage.
- Float: None.
- Additional Information: The unit maintains a 1:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and utilizes advanced equipment such as the DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, neurospine microscope, and hysteroscopy pump. The EMR system used is Altera. The facility has 10 operating rooms, is licensed for 330 beds, and employs approximately 50 staff members including day and night shift RNs, surgical technologists, and UAs. The environment emphasizes a hardworking yet collaborative team culture, with occasional late calls and overnight shifts during Fridays and Saturdays, as well as PRN holidays.
