Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units within a multi-facility float zone covering a 60-mile radius from the Denver city center
• Float between units and facilities as assigned, which may include General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• Manage a patient population of adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine
• Titrate Heparin drips and operate respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
• Adapt to two scheduling formats: single-facility weekly assignments or Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 6–9 shifts per 6-week schedule and participate in holiday rotation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must reside or obtain housing within a feasible distance to float throughout the full 60-mile zone
• Must be available and present in-state for the full week of orientation
• Valid driver's license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a neuro nursing environment
• Experience floating across multiple acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and ICU (low-acuity holds)
• Comfort working in a float pool or multi-facility travel assignment
