Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a surgical IMC/PCU unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and dysrhythmia management skills, working night shifts at a large academic medical center.
Details
- Intermediate care (IMC) level surgical unit specializing in surgical, urology, and thoracic patients
- Provides pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care on the unit
- Multi-level care environment covering adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Floating required to units of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
- IMC/PCU experience required, with surgical patient population experience
- Dysrhythmia management skills required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
- ACLS and 1–2 prior travel assignments are preferred but not required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- If your resume lists PCU experience, be prepared to clarify the type of patients cared for (e.g., surgical)
