Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications along with a Compact or OH RN license.
Details
- Acute care ICU setting with 6 private beds
- High acuity step-down, low acuity ICU unit that currently serves as the hospital's COVID unit
- Patient population includes sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal, surgical, and respiratory cases
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses TruBridge - Evident EMR (CPSI-Evident)
- Night shift, 7pm-7am, working three 12-hour shifts per week (no blocked scheduling)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend requirement
- Floating to Tele-MedSurg unit required
- Travelers typically do not work holidays, dependent on schedule and permanent staff availability
Requirements
- Active RN license (OH or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- BSN not required for this position
- Must complete an ECG exam on first day of assignment
Additional Information
- 1 shift of floor orientation provided
- Royal Blue scrub color required
- N95 masks provided and used for 24 hours before disposal
- Able to cancel up to 1 week's worth of guaranteed hours over the 13-week assignment
