Description
MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a board certified or board eligible Transplant Nephrologist to care for the rapidly growing local population of Lancaster County, SC. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to join an established and busy hospital-based transplant practice along with two other transplant nephrologists and two surgeons.
The Medical University of South Carolina’s Transplant Center is the leading solid organ transplant center in the state for more than 25 years serving both adult and pediatric patients. We have a collaborative and intellectually stimulating team currently composed of transplant nephrologists, research coordinators, nursing staff, and comprehensive administrative support. There are numerous opportunities for patients to participate in clinical trials, monthly patient support and educational programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Clinical expertise in Transplant Nephrology
- UNOS-certified, BC in Internal Medicine, and BC or BE in Nephrology
Position Highlights:
- Position focused on hospital and ambulatory clinical setting, including inpatient services and outpatient clinic for pre/post-renal transplant patients.
- Involvement in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Excellent Hospitalist support provided
- Normal office hours
- On call rotation expected to be 1:4
- MUSC Health Indian Land location set to open in late 2027
- Many great locations to call home: Rock Hill, SC (home of Winthrop University), Fort Mill, SC, Indian Land, SC, Charlotte, NC, along with its many emerging suburban areas like Ballantyne, Marvin and Waxhaw
