Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live>50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:- Neonate and pediatric experience required; skills checklist must indicate 3s or 4s for all neonate/peds requirements.- Strong skills in Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Ortho.- Must have recent high acuity Level 1 experience.- Teaching hospital experience required.-Note: Minimum 2 years of recent peds scrub experience required.
Required Credentials:- Successfully completed a surgical technologist program, or 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program completion.
Special Requests:- Military-only work experience not accepted.
Unit Details:- Prepares the operating room prior to surgery, assists the surgeon during surgery, promotes patient safety, and cares for instruments and supplies used in surgery.- Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.- On-call may cover general surgery (appendectomy, exploratory laparotomy), neurosurgery (up to craniotomy, tumor resection), orthopedics (fractures up to spinal fusion), ENT (foreign body removal, bronchoscopy), GI (upper and lower), facial fractures, skin grafting, and eye trauma.- Travelers take call for general cases aside from cardiac; very high acuity.
Shift&Scheduling:- Day/Evening, 8-hr shifts, 1000 - 1830, Monday - Friday with weeknight, weekend, and holiday call responsibilities.- On-call 3-4 weekends per 13-week assignment.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Proof of identification required
