Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT) with 2+ years of experience for a travel contract at a Magnet, academic teaching hospital in Washington State.
Details
- Work in a Nuclear Medicine department at a 637-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital
- Wide range of studies performed including PET cardiac perfusion, PYP amyloid, Thallium viability, MUGA, R-to-L shunts, bone/bone marrow/WBC scans, CSF leak, cisternogram, brain perfusion, brain shunt patency, DaTscans, brain death flow, gastric emptying, hepatobiliary, GI bleeds, liver/spleen, lung V/Q and quantification V/Q, MIBG, DTPA GFR, lymph melanoma/lymphangiogram, parathyroid, MAG3 renal, thyroid studies, Y-90 treatment imaging, 131I thyroid, and Xofigo treatments
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts: Monday–Wednesday (8:00 AM–6:30 PM) and Saturday (6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
- On-call required
- Floating within the hospital is required; no floating to sister hospitals
- Charting in Epic (preferred, not required)
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine / PET/CT experience
- Active WA state license required (pending license not accepted); license required if applicable
- BLS required
- NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification required
- PET experience required
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures across cardiac, neurological, oncological, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, renal, thyroid, and treatment imaging protocols
- Epic experience preferred but not required
- RTO may not be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum; max 1 week of RTO for the duration of the contract
- Former UW facility staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Scrubs are provided for OR personnel; any scrub color is acceptable
