Description

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital is located in beautiful Hollister, a short drive from the pacific coast, tucked between Silicon Valley and Monterey.  Hollister boasts some of California's best wineries, high-end schools, endless outdoor options and entertaining events throughout the year.  Lending to the extensive outdoor activity options, the weather in Hollister is gorgeous, with an average temperature in the upper 60s and more than 300 days of annual sunshine.

Our facility is a 66-bed acute care facility that is currently operating as a 25 bed critical access hospital.   We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient services and diagnostic procedures.  The medical staff is made up of over 100 physicians representing over 30 medical specialties.

In addition, Hazel Hawkins Community Health Centers have more than 40,000 visits annually.  The clinics are integrated with eClinicWorks, an electronic health record system that integrates patient information between clinic sites, laboratories and the hospital. Along with primary care providers, numerous specialists also provide services at our clinics, including: pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, infectious disease, hematology, oncology, internal medicine, gastroenterology, rheumatology, endocrinology, nephrology and general surgery

Leadership Opportunities

Director of Medical Imaging, Radiology – Req# HRA-459

Status/Shift: Full Time, Exempt
Position Summary/Requirements: High School graduate, BS degree preferred. Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certified by the State of CA to practice and administer radiation. Current BCLS certification. Background in Imaging Services, such as Supervisor or Assistant Director of an Imaging Services department. At least 5 active years in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience. Current membership and active participation in the Radiologic Technologist professional organization.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Radiologic Technologist III (MRI Technologist), Radiology – Req# HRA-421

Status/Shift: Full Time, PM, All Shifts

Position Summary/Requirements: Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology, an Associates of Science, with 5 years of experience as Radiologic Technologist and 2 or more years of experience in MRI and ARRT certification.

Current Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS), California State Radiology Technologist certificate from the CDPH RHB-CRT, California State Fluoroscopy Permit CDPH RHB- CRT Fluoro, California State Venipuncture Certificate, and registration in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)). Adheres to all applicable Federal, State and local regulations including JCAHO and HIPAA. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are essential. Performs other related duties as required.

Radiologic Technologists (I, II, II, IV and MRI)

Radiologic Technologist III or IV, Radiology – Req# HRA-413

Status/Shift: Full Time, All Shifts

Position Summary/Requirements: Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology, an Associates of Science, with 5 years of experience as Radiologic Technologist and 2 or more years of experience in CT or MRI for a Rad Tech III. Rad Tech IV requires 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with two years of experience in CT or MRI, or one year of experience in CT & MRI with ARRT certification in each modality.

Current Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS), California State Radiology Technologist certificate from the CDPH RHB-CRT, California State Fluoroscopy Permit CDPH RHB- CRT Fluoro, California State Venipuncture Certificate, and registration in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)). Adheres to all applicable Federal, State and local regulations including JCAHO and HIPAA. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are essential. Performs other related duties as required.

Mammography / Dexa

Radiologic Technologist III (Mammography/Dexa) – Req# HRA-465

Status/Shift: Full Time, All Shifts

Position Summary/Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Current BLS/CPR certification. Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT certification: Radiography and Mammography required. Must be licensed in the state of CA in CRT and Mammography. Adheres to all applicable Federal, State and local regulations including Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and HIPPA. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are essential. Performs other related duties as required. Preferred: CA Venipuncture certified. 1-2 years of Mammography experience. Medical terminology and knowledge or HIS, RIS and PACS systems. Bone densitometry a plus or willing to train.
