General Summary:
The Director, Speaker Bureau and Content Lead, US Kidney is responsible for setting up and leading the speaker bureau and developing all approved content to support our launches in IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD). Additionally, this person will map and prioritize all Key Thought Leaders (KTLs), Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs), and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support the KTL engagement strategy and identify opportunities for educational partnerships. We are seeking a candidate who has KTL and speaker bureau experience and a background in developing engaging content for peer-to-peer forums. This role reports to the Head of Market Development, US Kidney Business Unit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Owns the development, management, and evolution of the speakers' bureau from end to end including speaker selection, training, and field activation
Works cross-functionally to create and approve engaging educational content for peer-to-peer educational meetings
Maps all KTLs, DOLs, and COEs and partners with marketing, medical, and sales operations to ensure an optimal engagement plan
Collects, synthesizes, and disseminates insights from speaker programs
Manages agency relationships to optimize spend and performance
Models a culture of compliance focused on ethics and integrity in all we do
Required Skills:
Ability to drive large programs from ideation through execution
Excellent cross-functional skills with strong customer orientation
Content development including promotional review and approval
Agency management to optimize budget and performance
Innovative mindset when leading projects and solving problems
Ability to generate insights and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities
Ability to assess the impact of promotional investments and make strategic and tactical recommendations
Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills
Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Self-driven and accustomed to a fast-paced, launch environment
Ability to travel up to 30%
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
Typically requires 10 years of experience in healthcare / biopharmaceuticals, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Experience in one or more of the following: product marketing, pharmaceutical sales, thought leader engagement, speaker bureau, market development, or ad agency
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
