Description

West Coast Kidney Institute is the largest private practice in the Bay Area made up of 3 different divisions serving distinct communities. The Diablo Division extends from Walnut Creek to Brentwood which is north of Oakland and Berkeley. Our thriving division provides care in hospitals ranked in the top 15 for the State of California, which includes 2 different residency programs. We have medical directorships in local dialysis clinics as well as hospital programs, a dialysis access center staffed by our interventional nephrologists, and a science branch conducting clinical trials with industry.

We are looking for a BC/BE, full-time nephrologist to care for patients in the office, hospital, in-center dialysis clinic, and home therapy clinic. This is a partnership track with a good work-life balance starting with 4 weeks vacation and a gradual increase to 8 weeks, in addition to 1 week of paid CME. There is also an option to work 4 days a week after 2 years. Calls are distributed evenly for all doctors regardless of seniority. Salary starts at $300,000 with incremental increase after year 1. There are also investments opportunities uniquely offered in private practice. 

Requirements

• Board certified, board eligible nephrologist. 
• California medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Spanish-speakers a plus, but not required.
