RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• 13-week assignment duration
• 72 guaranteed hours bi-weekly
• Patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
• Maximum 1 week pre-approved time off allowed
• No block scheduling
• Floating to other units required
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Cerner EMR system
• Care for higher acuity med-surg patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, and level 1 trauma post-ICU care
• Handle other diagnoses such as DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care
• Skills required include expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post IR
• Work on 24-bed unit
• Must be greater than 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Required license and certifications must be attached or application will be rejected
