Certification Details
- Delivers care to patients intra-operative utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Effectively interacts with the surgical patient and health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
- Primary duties include circulating procedures, instrumentation of procedures, and assisting surgeon and/or anesthesia providers.
- Provides high quality care to surgical patient populations including ENT, General, Orthopedics (including Spine), Podiatry, Dental/Oral surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology including c-sections, Vascular and Bariatric.
- Clinical care activities and nursing services include circulating, instrumenting, first assisting, patient education, and resource nurse.
- Additional call hours required: Approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period with a 30-minute response time.
Job Details
- Must have professional nursing license verified through primary source (BON & NURSYS for RNs).
- Must provide 2 professional references, including 1 from a supervisor.
- Must complete GRH Education Verification and other professional verifications within 30 days of start.
- Must complete required health screenings and immunizations including Influenza Vaccine, COVID-19 Vaccine (declination accepted), MMR, Hepatitis B, TB Test, Varicella, Tdap, and annual TB questionnaire.
- Must complete Fit Test prior to start with acceptable masks.
- Must complete GRH Skills Checklist within 12 months.
- Must complete GRH OSHA Questionnaire and Pre-Orientation CBL Acknowledgement.
- Must have unexpired government issued photo ID (Driver's License/State ID).
Job Requirements
- Day shift with additional call hours required (approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period).
- Call response time is 30 minutes.
Schedule Information
- Surgical Services unit providing intra-operative nursing care.
- Care for patients undergoing surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Dental/Oral Surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology including c-sections, Vascular, and Bariatric.
Unit Specific Information
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccine required annually by December 1st or facility declination accepted.
- COVID-19 vaccine declination accepted.
- Drug screen within 30 days of start (10 Panel, THC not required).
- Various background and compliance checks required within 30 days of start.
- GRH Evergreen Link completion required within 48 hours of offer acceptance for system access.
