Assignment Summary – Stepdown RNCertifications Required:BLSACLSNIHSSRadius Rule:Must live 50+ miles away (Driver's license required at submission)Cannot be FT/PT/PRN with any CommonSpirit Health facility (including CHI or Dignity Health)Unit Details:33 bedsRatios: 1:4–5CNA ratio: 1:10 (based on census)Charge RN assigned each shiftMust titrate dripsRNs required to read/interpret tele stripsCommon Diagnoses:Sepsis, STEMI, CHF, chest pain, COVID, stroke, renal failure, COPD, DKA, multisystem failureCommon Drips:Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, IV antibiotics, InsulinEquipment:BiPAP, AirvoShift Options:0630–1900 or 1830–0700Every other weekendHolidays as neededTravelers scheduled by unitFloating:MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, Skilled CareScrubs: Navy BlueOrientation:1 week classroom + two 12-hour floor shiftsPass/Fail open-book exam (90% required)Policies:Artificial nails prohibitedRTO: Max 7 days per 13 weeks (must submit upfront; no additions later)Unit Culture:Fast-paced with high admissions/discharges; teamwork and positive attitude essential.
