Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience in both PET/CT and general nuclear medicine studies for a day shift travel assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
- Rotation between General Nuclear Medicine (bone, gastric, hepatobiliary, renal studies, and others) and PET/CT imaging
- PET/CT scans include general FDG Oncology, NET, PSMA, Neurology, and Cardiac imaging
- Equipment includes Siemens Symbias, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT cameras
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (hours may shift slightly based on scheduled patients)
- On-call is required for this position
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience performing a variety of PET/CT scan types is strongly preferred (FDG Oncology, NET, PSMA, Neurology, Cardiac)
- Proficiency with SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach required
- 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
- License required if applicable — allied health candidates may be considered with a pending state license, but must obtain licensure prior to start
- Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Technologists will rotate between PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine studies throughout the assignment
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — requests made after submission will not be approved
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
