Description
The Division of Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is offering two one-year ASDIN accredited Interventional Nephrology Fellowship positions for the academic year 2026-2027.
This one-year interventional fellowship will provide a broad experience in all aspects of interventional nephrology including:
- Eleven months of training in vascular access procedure care at UW and UnityPoint-Meriter Hospital
- One half-day ambulatory clinic per week with a focus on chronic kidney disease care
- Twenty weeks of inpatient service on acutes, and ESRD services at University Hospital, the Middleton VA Hospital, the Select Specialty Hospital, and the acute service at UnityPoint-Meriter Hospital (including 8 weekend calls).
In addition to bedside teaching, the interventional fellow(s) will:
- Participate in weekly Nephrology Grand Rounds
- Present one Grand Rounds session and one Fellows’ Core Curriculum lecture
- Present one abstract at a national conference
- Publish one manuscript
- Actively participate in quality improvement or peer review activities related to interventional nephrology

Requirements
Successful completion of at least 2 years of an ACGME-approved general nephrology fellowship training program or current enrollment in an ACGME-approved training program is required for consideration. Due to the clinical duties of this position, we are not able to offer a J-1 sponsorship.
