Adult Nephrology—Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans

•              The Academic Nephrologist position teaches medical students, residents and fellows and participates in clinical research programs within a large multi-specialty academic group practice setting.
•              This position has three potential pathways:

o             General Nephrology

o             General Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine

o             General Nephrology and Interventional Nephrology

Pediatric Nephrology— Ochsner Children’s Hospital, New Orleans

Ochsner Children’s recently began construction on a new 5-story hospital on our main campus, with expected opening at the start of 2028.

                Pediatric Nephrologist

o             Clinical Care: This role will provide inpatient and outpatient kidney care for children with acute, chronic and end-stage renal disease.

o             Program Development: There is an opportunity for qualified candidates to develop a pediatric kidney transplant program to complement existing pediatric liver, heart, and bone marrow transplant programs.

o             Teaching and Research: This role will also have the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and allied health students.

                Section Head, Pediatric Nephrology

o             Leadership and Program Development: In addition to the opportunities listed above, this role collaborates with departmental leaders to develop and lead an integrated regional pediatric nephrology program.
