Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:
The Director, Congress, Ad Board, and Strategic Council Lead, US Kidney is responsible for setting the strategic direction, planning, and flawless execution of congresses, advisory boards, and strategic councils for povetacicept and inaxaplin to support our launches in IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD).
This leader will define and oversee the immediate and long-term vision for the company's presence and influence across 50 regional and national conferences, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy and business objectives. Additionally, this person will be responsible for engaging with Key Thought Leaders (KTLs) to plan and execute high-impact ad boards and strategic council meetings, ensuring the collection and pull through of insights to inform brand strategy, customer engagement, and market development.
This highly visible role requires an accomplished strategic thinker and operator with kidney experience who is able to build cross-functional alignment and execute in a fast-paced launch environment. This role reports to the Head of Market Development, US Kidney Business Unit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the planning and booth presence at regional, and national conferences and medical society meetings, including significant cross functional alignment with medical and other stakeholders
- Makes key decisions about congress booth design and content including our future presence / footprint across a broad range of meetings
- Develops ad board content, develops optimal invitee list, and takes materials through the promotional review process
- Leads strategic councils including KTL membership, agenda development, and alignment with marketing teams
- Collects, synthesizes, and disseminates insights from ad boards and strategic councils to inform marketing strategy and tactics
- Models a culture of compliance focused on ethics and integrity in all we do
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to develop compelling and engaging content for congresses
- Ability to generate insights and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities
- Strong knowledge of promotional review processes
- Experience with budget and vendor management
- Ability to assess the impact of promotional investments and make strategic and tactical recommendations
- Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-driven and accustomed to a fast-paced, launch environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Typically requires 10+ years of experience in healthcare / biopharmaceuticals, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience in one or more of the following: product marketing, pharmaceutical sales, thought leader engagement, congress planning, and/or consulting
- Exceptional leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience building strategic KTL networks with strong customer orientation and translating insights into actionable commercial strategies
- Rare disease / specialty product launch experience
- Experience working in highly competitive markets
- Kidney experience strongly preferred but not required
- Ability to travel up to 30% including weekends
Pay Range:
$196,000 - $294,000
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
